Originally used as study or office when the home was built in 1855
1. The "pop belly" stove was made by the Hamilton Stove Co. Geneseo, Il.
2. Many of the items on the shelves are from the early stores in Geneseo. They were donated by friends of the museum.
3. The oak calendar clock, circa 1900, was a gift from Marjorie Johnson.
4. The large "seed case" was given by Bill Kink and is thought to be from Windfall's Grocery Store. Many people remember it but are uncertain which store it was from. Often large pieces were sold from one store keeper to another as places changed owners and store fronts. The case may have been in several stores over the years.
5. The large colorful coffee grinder and while meat scale arc from the Kink's Market- given by the Kink family.
6. The "National" cash register was given by Mrs. Howard Ford.
7. 'NO CREDIT-DON'T ASK" sign- a gift from Don Harrington and was used in his family's photography studio.
8. The large glass cheese dome- a gift from Dick Farber was used in the Farber and Larimer Grocery Store.
9. The "ledger" on the counter is from Beckstine Grocery, circa 1912-1914!
10. The shelving is from Windish's Grocery- a gift from Bill Rink
